Need legal advice about child custody, visitation, and child support.?

I have 2 children that live with their paternal grandmother under temporary custody order. I have to pay child support to her because she is on government assistance programs. Here’s the thing…..I have 4 other children that are with me now, and I don’t have a job, an unsupportive husband, and have to go to court soon because I’m $4000 behind on support owed to her. I want custody of my children from her, but cannot afford an attorney. She has not let me see the children for almost 4 years now. I call, she doesn’t answer, I send e-mails, no reply, and I even go to her house and get noone at the door. What is the best steps I can take to try to get custody of my children again? Is there anything I can do about her not letting me see them? What do I need to do? HELP

Take a look at your court order they should have a number you can call or you can call the child support service and let them know the situation and that even thought you have not paid support in over 4 years she should not be able to stop you from seeing your kids becasue that was not in the order and you are not abusing them for her to keep them away from you. Also ask them if they help you or give you numbers of pro-bono lawyers that will help you with your case. My ex went through this with his sons mom and he was paying support and she refused him to come and get him on the weekends. Well, we called the child support or I think the court that we attended and talked to several people and let them know what was going on with everything and they set an appointment for us to go back to court which we had to anyway, but by what she had done he made us come in early and he told her that she has no right to keep him away from his son no matter what and that it was not ordered for her to do it she told the judge that she did not like me and we told him is because she wants him back. The judge told her to get over it he does not want you and if he did you just gave him reason not to and ordered that he is to see his son on weekends and is to return him back to her by 8pm Sunday night. If you ask the right questions you can get the help it si how you talk that will get you the information you need. Just call any number that they give you to find out how you can go about settling this with support and seeing your kids.
